Wednesday, January 28th, 2009

Bobby Vosburgh

The playtest of  CARGO  was a winner last night. With 40 players turning up at a selection of secret locations, despite the dreadful drizzle of the evening. A great account of the game was written up by Richard sandford on his excellent blog. Thanks to Rich for this. Thanks to everyone who turned up on such a wet eve, Sorry to those who wanted to play and didn’t get a space. More fun soon.

iglab 7 We’re back….

Wednesday, January 07th, 2009

Yes indeed we’re back with the first of this years iglabs. iglab Seven will begin at 7:30 on the 27th of January and will start here at the Pervasive Media Studio. In the upcoming months we will be having some special iglab games challenges and we will be introducing a new night of social and pervasive games called the ignite. The ignite will be a place to play the games we’ve finished developing and love playing. Because igfest comes but once a year and we dont want to have to wait that long between rounds.

This month at iglab we have some brand new games to test. Tom from HP Labs will be bringing a game of his own called midnight tennis and we [Simon] will be bringing our new game CARGO. Both games will have us out in the city so there’ll be hot drinks on hand tea coffee and mulled cider. If you think you’ll be wanting anything more feel free to BYO.

As usual with the lab it will be free but you have to sign up to turn up.
